Rates & Details

The Sugar Shack is a stand-alone cabin for two adult occupants. All new (completed August 2021), the Sugar Shack is set close to the main house and adjacent to the farm’s active sugar bush and its stately maple trees. The cabin has a queen bed, separate bath with shower, dining table and chairs and a covered porch. It is fully insulated and heated for chilly nights and winter months. The cabin is snug and wonderfully decorated with a mixture of modern conveniences as well as antiques from the farm, including maple syrup taps for hooks and sap buckets converted to pendant lighting as well as original paintings from local, nationally-renowned, artist Susan Abbott.

Meals

All rooms include a fantastic farm breakfast served at 8:00 a.m. on weekdays and 8:30 a.m. on weekends and holidays in the gourmet farmhouse kitchen. We use ingredients from the farm as much as possible, including eggs, bacon and sausage, fruits and vegetables in season, our own wood-fired maple syrup and apple cider pressed from our own apples. Catherine’s specialties include incredible cinnamon buns, pumpkin pancakes, flaky biscuits, buttery croissants and HHF eggs benedict.

Lunch & Dinner are available locally at several very good casual restaurants. Montpelier and Barre are just a 20 minute drive for more dining choices.
